Summer days are flying by, and September will be here before you know it!
There’s a lot of discussion these days about where people work, how they work, and how many days they work. But this is a time of the year when many workers are truly out of the office—wherever that office might be. Summer days can definitely fly by, and workers will want to be as productive as possible when they’re working so they can really enjoy their time off.
One of the main themes of this release is how we are helping 8x8 Work users be productive by helping them focus on calls, meetings, and conversations with enhancements that minimize distractions, limit interruptions, and make taking actions simpler. For example, a visual banner will notify users of parked calls, so no need to interrupt with a message or a page. A visual banner can also be used when the call waiting tone is disabled to avoid call interruption, especially during high call volumes. Got a noisy neighbor or pet? Well, we can’t keep them quiet, but we have added five levels of noise suppression for microphone input to help minimize background noise interruptions. And if spam is clogging message feeds, users can now block SMS messages sent by unknown external numbers.

3. Merge directory of 8x8 Contact Center and 8x8 Work users within Agent Workspace The Contact Directory now combines users with Contact Center and 8x8 Work licenses into a single contact. Learn more
4. 8x8 Contact Center Speech Analytics and Recordings Enhancements Recordings includes new features designed to enhance post call survey analysis, allow for more thorough interaction evaluation, and add to your data security. See what’s new
5. Expanded PSTN replacement services 8x8’s Global ReachTM now extends to 54 countries, including the latest additions of Israel, Latvia, and Slovakia. Learn more
6. 8x8 Connect and 8x8 Converse: Contacts Management Improvement There is now a singular user interface to showcase the management of contacts across 8x8 Connect and 8x8 Converse. Users can also group contacts easily into different segments.
